The Lotus and Papyrus plants were the symbols of Egypt when the Pharoahs were around.The Holy Koran told us that Egypt are known for there vegetables such as Onions,Lentil and Garlic.At the moment Palm trees are seen evrywhere across the country. They are the national crop of Sinai,Egypt and with just a drop of water they can develop and grow up to 20 metres high!It is also said that it can produce all the vitamins needed for one whole day for the Human body if dated,drank,ate.
The Nile Delta and the Nile River Valley are full of many trees such as : Acacia,Tamarisk,Mimosa,Jacaranda, Cypress and the Sycamore. They also have a wide range of fruit trees wich grow Citrus,Mango and Fig. Along the Nile there is also a vibrant range of flowers such as the Rose Poinciana, Lotus, Lilly and the Jasmine.
Egytpians were also known for using plants such as the Samwa found in Sinai, for healing illneses. The Samwa is a shrub and was discovered in 1980.
